Blog on the move

If you have found my (now outdated) corner of the blogspot world, please redirect your attention to my new (and current) blog, residing on my personal website. Thank you.

Although I don’t yet have a good sense of how to make this blogging process part of my everyday writing, I realize I just needed to start. Part of that inspiration comes from Mitch Ratcliffe, who I just spent a few days with in a meeting. He blogged while the rest of us talked, positioned, or in my case, fought back new kidney stone pains and coached my unquiet mind, reminding me to focus on the purpose of the gathering.

So here’s what's fascinating me today: Meetings. Can we create new forms of organizations and more natural ways of working with one another from within conference rooms, sitting down, facing forward, and taking our turns? I doubt it. At least today. I won’t have chair dents in my backside tomorrow and might have another thought. At least I hope so.

Jay Cross convinced me this blog stuff is worth paying attention to. He also reminded me of a great quotation by Joni Mitchell (Woodstock, 1970), "I don't know who I am, but life is for learning."

In my never ending search to learn and figure out who I am, I plan to use this space to keep track of what's fascinating me at the moment and catalog stuff that might interest others, too.

Look forward to learning with you.
